This project of edible bottle made with a biological process was imagined by David Edwards and led by François Azambourg for Le Laboratoire, Paris.
We developed the semi-industrial process and all the experimentations behind. The result was exhibited in Paris in september 2010 : bottles who were produced biologically rather than industrially. No loss, biodegradable, and plastic free. There are two shells who reciprocally protect each other :
The hard shell protects the fragile skin filled with liquid from chocs, while the fragile skin protects the hard shell (biodegradable) from the liquid, which otherwise would degrade it.
EDIT : This project is now further developped within the Wikipearl® licence.
